About Mojo and Co

My passion for dogs started early, always keen to spend time around dogs as much as possible. 

I grew up around dogs and as a teenager, we had two Vizslas in the family home and I myself got a Wirehaired Vizsla as soon as I moved out of home. He was the true inspiration for this business, hence the name Mojo. 

Following my unenthusiastic start to a 9-5 with an apprenticeship, I soon realised the office life was not for me. I had the pleasure of helping out a few of the local farms, figuring my passion was anywhere I was doing physical labour out and about, I went into an amazing start at my doggy day care with Paws 4 Thought and having an amazing boss like Claire made me realised I wanted to be as good a boss as her some day, leading me to take the leap and become my own boss. 

Taking my passion of caring and maintaining dogs, I chose to attend groom school in Cornwall  to carry out my dog grooming training with the amazing supportive Eve and team who managed to support and provide my knowledge and expertise to become the dog groomer I am today. This would not have been possible without the support of my amazing Auntie and Uncle (Shout out to Julie and Andy) who I managed to annoy whilst making my 4 hour journey each week to Devon to stay with them (I did supply a bit of wine!) 

Whilst I am still working for Paws 4 Thought (mostly because I would miss all my dogs too much) I have started my own business now providing dog grooming at the Paws 4 Thought Day Care and at home. With time I hope to be able to share my knowledge with a blog on information that may help you to look after your dog between grooms as I’m sure we all agree, its all about keeping the dogs interest at the base of my work. To further ensure I do this, the Animal Welfare Act is used in practice for all dogs and animals in my care.
